Applying for a Texas LTC is simple: attend 4 to 6-hours online classroom instruction, score 70% or higher on the written examination; attend a local range to receive 1 to 2-hours additional gun safety training and shoot the 50-round course-of-fire as your proficiency demonstration while showing you can handle a handgun safely at a local range; and, complete your online application process with the state which also includes getting fingerprints.
